Performing at weddings is always special, but February 23, 2024, was a day to remember. We had the honor of providing the musical backdrop for a beautiful cocktail hour at The Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh, NC. The venue, with its historic charm and elegant ambiance, set the perfect stage for our performance.

The Ensemble: Violin and Guitar

Our ensemble consisted of a violinist and guitarist, a combination that brings a unique and enchanting sound to any event. The delicate notes of the violin, paired with the warm, resonant chords of the guitar, create a harmonious blend that can elevate the atmosphere.

A Unique Twist: The Pedestal Performance

For this particular event, we added a unique twist to our setup, as requested by the bride. The violinist was seated atop a pedestal, which not only highlighted the instrument but also added an element of visual interest to the performance. Positioned at a slightly elevated height, the guests could easily see the performance. This arrangement created an intimate yet elevated experience, making the music feel like a central part of the event. The idea was brought to life by Greenhouse Picker Sisters.

The Merrimon-Wynne Experience

The Merrimon-Wynne House itself deserves special mention. Its grand architecture and beautifully maintained grounds provided a picturesque backdrop for the evening. The historic charm of the house, combined with the modern elegance of the event decor, created a truly magical atmosphere.
