Undiscovered Charlotte Area Wedding Venues
Getting married in Charlotte provides lots of perks: plenty of venue options, great places for your guests to stay, a variety of experienced vendors... the list goes on. We find that many of our clients want to be near Charlotte but not necessarily in uptown. These four wedding venues were brand new to us this year and are great options if you want to be near Charlotte but not IN Charlotte.
The venues are within an easy drive of Charlotte City Center but not actually in Charlotte. They offer quick access to the amazing vendors in Charlotte without being in the city. I expect that all of these venues will continue to grow and become more popular in the coming year!
Congrats to these amazing couples, and thanks to the vendors and venues who made such spectular days possible! We always feel blessed to set the tone for the rest of the day by kicking off the wedding ceremony with great music!
1: North Corner Haven
Don't you love this ceremony site! This venue is extremely gorgeous and secluded. There is a large space for receptions, which could feel rustic or modern, depending on your theme. It's a versatile space.
North Corner Haven is located in Lancaster, South Carolina, not far from Charlotte! The space feels untouched and like it can be transformed easily into the couple's vision for their day.
We provided a string quartet for the wedding ceremony music. We worked with Split Second Sound on this wedding too, and they provided sound for us to amplify the string quartet during the ceremony.
2: Cedar Creek Ranch
Cedar Creek Ranch is new and growing! Linda, the owner, is so nice and takes great pride in providing such a beautiful venue for her clients.
We noticed all the detail that was added in the design of this venue. It all feels new and fresh. There is a fire pit for evening s'mores, a gorgeous lawn for the ceremony, lots of patio options for cocktail hour, as well as areas for the bride and groom to get ready on-site. Twinkle lights abound, and this space offers a lot of options for brides and grooms to design the flow of the event.
We played violin guitar duets here, and the duet was a nice choice for the space. We played outside for the ceremony and were able to stay in the same place for cocktail hour, which allowed the music to start right away instead of waiting 5-10 minutes to move to the new location.
Our music for this wedding seemed to capture the traditional but modern vibe of the wedding venue. We played All You Need is Love for the mothers to be seated, Flightless Bird for the bridal party, and Canon in D for the bride. Then the couple recessed to You Are The Best Thing after the kiss!
This venue is undiscovered beauty. Beautifully covered pavilion for the ceremony, as well as, a heated barn area for receptions, which transforms easily depending on your style.
Both are large areas and have a capacity for a small event or a large wedding of 200+ people.
At this particular wedding, we played violin guitar duets for the wedding ceremony!
We worked directly with the owners of the venue, and they were so friendly and accommodating! Even though the venue is in Concord, it's very close to Charlotte center city- as well as the Charlotte Motor Speedway and Concord Mills Mall.
The main structure is a modern barn with ample space for a large reception. The large barn doors open to a grassy area which is shaded during prime wedding times, making it a perfect space for the ceremony. There is a backdrop of arbor. Even though you're right in Cornelius, it feels secluded and quiet.
This is a venue that seems unassuming when you drive up. All of the beauty is hidden! We played here in November, and it is a treat that this wedding venue is located in the Huntersville and Cornelius areas, so close to Lake Norman and uptown Charlotte. The leaves were a beautiful backdrop for the day!
There was plenty of parking in a nice lot, as well as updated furnishing and lots of space. Even with a large group, nothing about this day felt crowded, and guests were able to move about easily.
