Emmalee lives in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. She has been playing the cello for over 20 years and finds great joy in creating and sharing music. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in music and has been playing professionally since then. She has performed with various symphonies in North Carolina, in the studio in Boone, NC, and in genres including classical, folk, theatre and experimental improv.

In addition to performing, Emmalee also composes and improvises on the cello. Combining technical skill with expressiveness, she strives to create deeply felt experiences for her listeners. She finds great inspiration from the mountains and forests of this region and is grateful to live in the midst of such beauty.  

Emmalee performs solo cello music in Asheville, as well as violin cello duets in Boone, NC.  She performs classical wedding music as well as popular wedding music in Blowing Rock, NC, and throughout WNC.
