October Wedding at The Greenbrier Chapel in White Sulphur Springs, WV
The Greenbrier has been on our bucket list for a while…. a LONG while! My husband and I visited the Greenbrier back in 2011 before we had kids. We went on the tour of the bunker and enjoyed the gorgeous grounds. It’s such a unique place, and we loved it! I told him that I wanted to play a wedding here one day.
Throughout the years of our business, we’ve enjoyed checking many “bucket-list-venues” off our list. When we received the call about this potential wedding at the Greenbrier, I was intrigued, because it had always been in the back of my mind from the trip we took over 10 years ago. We set up a zoom call with the bride, her mother, and their planner. Our conversation was such fun, and we loved their vision. They asked for praise music and hymns, and that’s one of our specialties! We waited anxiously to see if they would book and were so excited when we heard, “Send over the contract!” As the wedding date neared, we prepped and tailored their song list, heard more about their vision, and made sure our song list matched.
All praise music for the processionals was powerful, especially in the elaborate chapel at the Greenbrier where the acoustics are captivating. Some of our favorite songs from prelude included, a variety of hymns such as “ Abide With Me,” “Be Thou My Vision,” “For the Beauty of the Earth, along with “As the Deer,” & “Simple Gifts.” We also played “How Great Thou Art” for seating mothers, “Hallelujah Here Below” for bridal party, “Come Thou Fount” for the bride, and “This Will Be an Everlasting Love” for the recessional. It was such a fun exit song! The chapel was decorated in shades of green, and we loved that the bridal party followed this theme. The colors were lovely!
“Abide with Me”
Not only was the experience of playing music at The Greenbrier Chapel memorable, but we also loved planning with such kind people. We loved hearing their vision and sharing ideas and plans and enjoying the results of the months of planning. We hope to be back at The Greenbrier Chapel soon!!
Congrats to Hayden + Brandon!
