April began playing the violin at the age of three and piano at the age of ten. She holds a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University, in Winston Salem, NC, in violin performance as well as a master's degree from Appalachian State University, in Boone, NC. She is also a proficient pianist.

While at Wake Forest, April was concertmaster of the University Symphony and has also performed as a violinist with the Western Piedmont Symphony in Hickory, Salisbury Symphony, and Winston-Salem Symphony. She is also a violin and piano instructor.

April currently lives in Charlotte and performs at events throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. She performs in our string quartets and also collaborates with our our violinists, pianists, guitarists, harpists, and cellists. Her travels for performance take her most often to Greensboro, NC, and Asheville, NC, as well as Durham, NC.
