Brianna Tam

Lead Musician, cellist

Brianna began her undergraduate studies at Oberlin Conservatory and transferred to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2017. She is a student of Dr. Alexander Ezerman purusing her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Since starting her education at UNCG, Brianna has been selected to perform in masterclasses for Zuill Bailey, the Julliard Quartet, and Lynn Harrell.

She is currently a member of the school's Gate City Camerata and is one of the rotating principals of the University Symphony Orchestra. While at Oberlin, Brianna was a member of the school's Contemporary Music Ensemble under the direction of Timothy Weiss, as well as the school's Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Raphael Jimenez.

Brianna has performed as a soloist with the American Chamber Orchestra as a winner of their concerto competition and has also won several other local competitions. In 2016, she attended Brevard Music Center Summer Festival,

during which she was one of the rotating principals for that season. Brianna performs in several different ensembles with Deans' Duets. She is a cello soloist in Greensboro, she performs in our Raleigh string quartet, and she also performs in our newly released cello piano duet in Winston Salem, boasting much of the music of the Piano Guys.

Brianna lives in Greensboro with her fiancé, her cat, and her chickens.
